Der Verfasser definiert zunächst die Geschichte und die Grundlagen des ultraorthodoxen Judentums, des Hassidimus und der Habad Bewegung. Dabei werden primär die religiösen Elemente betont, die teilweise einen paradoxen Charakter haben.
