| General note | Semeia, an experimental journal devoted to the exploration of new and emergent areas and methods of biblical criticism, was published from 1972 through 2002. Each issue was devoted to a particular theme, and articles explored the methods, models, and findings of linguistics, folklore studies, contemporary literary criticism, structuralism, social anthropology, and other such disciplines. After 2002, the journal Semeia was replaced by the book series Semeia Studies. |
