Translation of Le peuple de la Bible, the first volume of l'Histoire Sainte. It was first published in Paris, 1943and was immediately banned by the German authorities and the plates destroyed. it was reprinted between May 1944 and January, 1945. This is the first English edition, and the translation is by K. Madge.
